Christmas Eve at The Curran's
Here are some photos from Aunt Debbie and Uncle Bill's annual Christmas Eve Bash! Rowan had so much fun playing with Lily, Matthew, Sammantha, and Sidney. Just call him a Ladies Man. He got to open his gift from the Curran's Too. It was Thomas train carrier!! That made him very happy! We left around 10:30pm so we could get home to read 'The night before Christmas' to Rowan. More photos of Christmas to come!!

Waiting to meet St. Nick
Yesterday we decided to take Rowan to visit Santa since we had the day off. While in line, the boy in front of him was talking about how fun Santa was. That got Rowan excited! He kept changing his mind as to what he was gonna ask Santa for. At first he was gonna ask Santa for a Thomas Toy. Then he switched it to a James Toy. Then to a Percy toy. When the big moment arrived he was a bit scared and wouldn't look at Santa. Santa leaned over me and whispered something to Rowan about the reindeer on his sweater. Rowan was brave but didn't say a thing. When we were done visiting and walking off the platform Rowan turned around and yelled " A James Toy". I think it startled Santa, but he laughed anyway.

Before and After
Officially we got 16.6' of snow here in Silver Spring, MD. The first 2 photos are ones that Jason took in the Midst of the Snow Storm yesterday. The 3rd he took this morning before he started digging out. We had fun sledding with the neighbors and enjoying the awesome cookies that Cathy made. Jim offered to give Rowan his first paycheck if he helped him shovel, however Rowan respectfully declined! Maybe in a few years he'll change his mind.
The best part of this whole storm is that Jason and I both landed the day off tomorrow! Looks like Rowan might be going to see a fun movie!

Storm of the Century?
Not quite, but we've gotten a copious amount so far. It's beautiful outside so we decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. Did I ever think that the Red Flyer that I bought as a Christmas decoration from a thrift store would come in handy? No. Well it did today as Rowan was pulled about a mile by yours truly. I haven't had a leg workout like that in quite some time! We are looking forward to enjoying this weather by baking, watching Christmas movies, and just being together around the fire that Jason is working on. He's outside with his hatchet right now...yes, a bit scary! More photos later of this exciting weather event!

Holiday fun
We had a really nice visit this weekend with Gramma, Pap, and Aunt Sara. We spent the afternoon with regular visitors, Sara, Shell, Bart and Sammy. Rowan was very good and even took a 2 1/2 hour nap on Saturday. That gave us plenty of time to chat and catch up on all things including Toona. I was also able to do some chocolate covered pretzels without Rowan begging for chocolate. Last night we visited Brookside Gardens for the train display and outdoor light display. It was quite impressive! We really had a nice time and capped off the evening with Gramma's homemade pumpkin pie. Can't wait for Christmas in Altoona!
