Update on Bart Little
For those of you who don't know, Barty has been staying with Sara since July of last year. He was acting aggressively toward Rowan so we were grateful that Sara was willing to take him for awhile. We recently watched Bart while Sara was in Vegas and he's like a new dog. Calm, lazy, chubby, docile.....these are all words I never thought I'd use to describe Bart. Sara has been working extensively with him - lots of hug therapy and umm.. treats. Jason and I both agree that the extra weight has taken the edge off him. He seems more content at the heavier weight.
We ended up having a great visit with Bart. He behaved and didn't even attempt to come on our bed or the couch. He certainly missed Sara and was very excited to see her again. Back to the hug therapy and treats!!

A day at the National Zoo
Yesterday was a busy day for the Little Family. Rowan had swim lessons in the morning then I went on a nice long run Afterwards we spend the afternoon at the zoo with Aunt Sara and Edward! It was a beautiful day with highs in the upper 70's. Needless to say with that kind of weather everyone was out - and they all seemed to be at the zoo. Although the zoo was packed with people, Rowan had eyes for one person - Aunt Sara. He wanted Sara to sit next to him in the car, push his stroller, hold his hand..etc. It was really cute. Jason had a guys night out with his friends last night so Rowan and I hit the hay early. I was exhausted!
Here are some pictures of our fun day!

Happy Birthday Leah!
Leah had her 2nd birthday party Saturday at Bounce n Play. BP is a huge warehouse full of bouncy castles, slides, and houses. It was really fun for the kids and the adults! The top picture is the Birthday girl and her mom. The bottom picture is Mark (Rowan's godfather) and Audrey. Afterwards we spent the afternoon at Mark and Carla's while the kids played. Carla cooked a great dinner to top the day off!

Swim Lessons
Rowan started swim lessons on Saturday at the YMCA. I've been taking him to the pool about once a week to prepare him. Saturday started out a bit rough but he ended up doing really well. I'm looking forward to sharing this experience with him. My sister and I grew up on a swim team so I would love to see Rowan become a swimmer!
We had a lovely weekend here. The weather broke and gave way to sunny skies and temperatures in the high 50's!! It felt great to get a nice run in while enjoying the fresh air. We had a great time catching up with our friends Alan and Mariah and their baby Mazy last night at dinner. Rowan and Mazy were very well behaved which allowed us to enjoy a good meal!
Have a great week!

Happy Birthday Jason!!
We are still celebrating Jason's big day...especially Rowan! Just like his mom and dad, Rowan loves sweets. Alot of people have asked if this was a big birthday for Jason. The answer is no...he did not turn 40.
This week marks the 2nd year of us being in Dc. I didn't think I'd actually reach the point of calling here my home but surprisingly I am at that point. Slowly but surely over the last 2 years I've ventured out into unfamiliar territory. I've even been visiting the city for work events which has excited me! There is SO much to this city...so many historical sites to see...so many FREE museums to visit....so much cultural diversity to experience. Right now I am enjoying where I am in my life. My family is set and we are excited for Rowan to take advantage of what this city has to offer! Just to be clear: Even though we live in Dc, Jason and I are still Republicans and Rowan will ALWAYS be a Steelers, Penguins, and Penn State (make Pap happy) fan. So to those certain people who have bought him a Capitols jersey - thanks but no thanks!
Speaking of Rowan, he was accepted into his 1st place preschool today!! Wow! This is the one that had the application similar to a college admission application. Things will be mixed up with my work schedule to accommodate his hours but I hope we can work something out. Thanks to Tenley (our old landlord that we sued and won) for funding Rowan's first 2 years of preschool. You're a peach!
Good news all around this week as I got an "A" in a class I was REALLY struggling with. Just a few more classes until I will be
Dr. Jennifer Little! That will go well with Lt. Commander Jason Little.
