This is what Rowan's hair looked like when we picked him up from Daycare this afternoon. It's slicked back with gel and we couldn't stop laughing! Blanca said they were doing a "project" and for me not to worry about it. I have a feeling it has to do with Mother's Day!
Today I received great news about a health concern - life is good!

Weekend Fun

What great company Rowan had this weekend! First Aunt Sara paid him a visit on Saturday. Sara was kind enough to keep Rowan busy while Jason and I unpacked and got organized. Then on Sunday Rowan had two visitors! Ms. Kara visited first and then Cristina, Luis and baby Cristina came over for a late lunch! He was very interested in baby Cristina. He was kissing and tickling her feet and wanted to hold her by himself. Cristina was kind enough to help him!

Jason and I have been fortunate enough to have wonderful neighbors wherever we go. No one beats the neighbors and friends we've made from Grove Ave in PGH. The Cul-de-sac we lived in contained such giving and thoughtful people. I just talked to Anita and Cindy last week and miss them so much. However, several neighbors here have already introduced themselves and Kathy across the street brought us homemade brownies!! Judy and Bob, our parents away from home, brought over a beautiful bouquet of flowers Friday night. They are the best and it meant so much! We are so lucky to have special neighbors and friends here as well!

BFF

For those of you who do not know, we moved on Tuesday. We're still in Woodmoor...just in a smaller house but with much better landlords! This has been a very hectic week and we're looking forward to unpacking and visiting with Cristina, Luis, and Baby Cristina over the weekend! Through all this we've lost Bart twice, have damaged furniture from the movers, and realized we have WAY too much stuff! However, something sweet has come out of this. Bart has found a new place to sleep (yeah!!! - did I say that out loud?). He has settled into Rowan's rocking chair as the above photo shows. It's so cute! I heard Rowan repeating Bart's name the other night and didn't think much of it. Then I was searching high and low for lil' Bart. When I found him in Rowan's room I just stopped and had to take a photo. They are Best Friends...we just have to get them matching necklaces now!
