We are so proud of the kids progress in the water this summer. Rowan is learning to dive now and Morgan is most comfortable with goggles on and her head underwater. Rowan can swim the full length of the pool using his arm circles and going underwater. He really likes diving for his pool toys in the deep end. Morgan is something else. She fights to get away from Jason and I and has perfected the front float. Last week she brought her swimsuit out to me along with a swimmie. She truly is a water baby! Great job you two!!

The KSC was a great experience. There was so much to explore and learn - almost too much for one day! The vehicle assembly building is where they actually build the space shuttles. Each of the 7 doors weighs 32 tons! We also got a close up look at the Saturn 5 which flew from the late 60's until 1975. It is the most complex machine ever built.  The Orion is Nasa's next space craft due for test flight in 2014.

It was a really exciting day and I look forward to watching the next launch and sharing it with Rowan and Morgan!

Melbourne Beach

Last weekend we drove over to the east coast. These are the pictures from Melbourne beach which we visited Friday and Saturday. On Sunday we headed up to Cape Canaveral and visited the Kennedy Space Center which was so awesome! Pictures of that in the next post.

KidzArt Tampa

Rowan completed his 2nd week of art camp on Friday. Rowan enjoyed it so much the first week that we signed him up for another one. His work blew us away - he really is a talented little artist! The camp director, Christy, has created this peaceful environment for the kids to create and learn. Her teachers guide them through each piece by starting with basic lines and go from there. We are so glad friends recommended this place! Great job Rowan!!

Just some pictures from different things here. Reading with the Rays is a program that the library is putting on this summer. It was a very nice event -they even gave out free books at the end!

We only have about 6 weeks left here in Tampa:( So sad but we are making the most of it. This weekend we are heading to the east coast to visit the Kennedy Space Center! Should be a lot of fun!

NASCAR!

As a special Birthday present, Jason got tickets for him and Rowan to the Coca-Cola 500 in Daytona. They went with Jason's coworkers and their sons for a fun filled day. It was a long day as they left at 1:30 in the afternoon and got home at 2:30 in the morning. Tony Stewart ended up winning the race. It's beginning to become more apparent that Jason really is a redneck at heart!

We spent the day at Busch Gardens for Rowan's Birthday! It is a really beautiful and BIG park. The nice thing is that the park is about 10 miles away from the condo so we were able to go home in the afternoon, take naps, eat dinner, and return for more fun. The other nice thing is that the tickets were FREE! We saw Bengal tigers, gorillas, cheetahs, giraffes and rhinos. My favorite animal was the white Bengal tiger which was so beautiful and majestic. To cap the day off, Rowan played some games and won an angry bird! He picked the black bird which is the only one he didn't get for his birthday. It was a really great day and one we'll always remember!
