Long time...no update

Tennis anyone?

Pretty as a picture
snow?
I have been a rotten blogger lately, I admit it. I've been  having some trouble uploading photos and I thought Eff it. It's so much easier to use the iPad than firing up this computer. The only downfall to using the iPad is that I can't upload pictures to the blog or I would be all over that.

It's hard to believe that last year at this time Jason started his mobilization in Tampa. What a difference a year makes! We are so happy to have him home every night and weekend!

Rowan started tennis lessons a few weeks ago. He seems to really like it too! The coach doesn't look the part but he's good. Lots of agility exercises and running. Endurance seems to be a strength of Rowan's. He can really keep up with the ball and doesn't quit! It's been really fun to watch him.

The week was very exciting for the kids because we got about 2 inches of snow! We haven't seen the white stuff in a long time - last winter was very, very mild. Rowan had a 2 hr delay on Thursday which was really a joke. Regardless, he and Morgan put their new snowsuits on (thanks Gramma and Pap) and played in the little amount we did get. The best part for Morgan was coming in after 10 minutes and drinking hot chocolate - she was so excited!

Speaking of Morgan, she has been bringing the Sass lately! She wants what she wants and if not she'll let us know. Jason's been calling her Sassy and she walks around saying, "I'm sassy" - it is funny. We tried calling Rowan Brash but he didn't go for it. Brash and Sassy - That's a shout out to the Y &R fans out there!

Jason has been busy in the backyard. He got a new saw for Christmas so he's been cutting down some trees for the fire pit. He's making big plans for the yard this summer. These plans include a chainsaw, rototiller, apple trees, grass or sod and a playground for the kids. keep us in your prayers:)

Morgan turns 2!

with her Big Brother
Learning she lost Little Ms. Fairfax
Coco, Morgan and Pippa

We celebrated Morgan turning 2 New Years Weekend! She had quite a year in terms of development. She has well over 75 words in her vocabulary and is using sentences consistently. The other thing she's doing consistently is using the potty - sometimes up to 5x/day! Good thing Santa brought her underwear in her stocking!

Morgan loves her 2 dolls, Coco and Honey. She's also very attached to her blankie, Jason's ipad and milk! She loves dressing up and putting on make-up much to Jason's dismay. She tries very much to be independent- dressing herself and putting her boots on every morning.

Morgan's favorite activity is swimming. We go 1x/week and she can't get enough of it! She can independently float on her back and pushes off the wall by herself. It really is impressive watching her improve each week. She also loves watching anything about space. She loves the NASA app on the ipad and enjoys watching the launches especially.

Morgan is a very special little girl and we just can't get enough of her!
Happy Birthday Morgie G!!

Happy 2013!

The Birthday Girl
Cookies on Christmas Eve
We enjoyed snow in Altoona for Christmas - about 7 inches of the white stuff! It was fun for us to get outside with the kids and dogs and have some fun! The kids were thrilled when they saw that Santa came and brought exciting gifts for them. Morgan got a new kitchen and Rowan got transformers and some new leapster games!

We returned to Virginia in time to Celebrate Morgan's 2nd Birthday with a great party celebrating with @ 24 neighbors and friends!  We topped the evening off with a fun Bonfire! A special Thanks to Sara - without her the party wouldn't have been so successful.

2012 was a difficult but great year overall for us. Being separated from Jason was hard and scary at times but experiencing the summer in Tampa made up for all of that.

Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2013!
XOXO
