Rowan meeting "Blueberry"
Here are a few pictures of Rowan meeting Morgan yesterday. He was very concerned about the gift that she brought him and asked for that first! She did a good job of picking out a CARS toy for him! After a while he warmed up to her and was curious about her nose, the sounds she was making ,and when she sneezed! The bow Morgan is wearing was provided by Aunt Sara, of course. I can only imagine the clothes this little girl will be wearing someday as Sara mentioned that she'll be able to wear a bikini in 6 months!

Happy Birthday Baby Little!!
Morgan Genevieve Little came into the world today weighing in at 7lbs 6oz and measuring 20 inches long. She arrived at 2:30pm after a rather quick (but painfully intense) labor. She has lots of hair, doesn't really resemble either of us, and is healthy and perfect. We are so blessed to have Rowan and now Morgan:) More pictures to come as Rowan visits her tomorrow! Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes - we can't believe we now have a daughter!

A sugar high
Yesterday we got into the Christmas spirit and baked some cookies! Rowan was very eager to help out as soon as he saw it involved chocolate chips and Hersey's kisses. They turned out to be really delicious as with almost everything Jason makes. My friend Kara makes the best cookies but Jason's aren't that far behind! Afterwards, Rowan was bouncing off the walls for a few hours and then crashed hard! These are some pictures of him while on his sugar high. What a cutie he is:)

Still working!
On Wednesday, my co-workers surprised me with a baby shower! My friend Winnie, got the baby this beautiful faux fur snow leopard blanket from Baby Gap - I absolutely love it! I also got some hoodie towels, washclothes, sleepers, etc.. The audiology department got me a giftcard to Target and the Doctors gave me a giftcard to Babies r Us and cash. I was overwhelmed with the generosity and thoughtfulness. There is something about a baby that just makes people happy and excited!
For some reason, I have always found great people to work with and for. Feldman ENT is no different. We work hard but have plenty of time to play around as some of these pictures show! Thanks to my besties Dr. Newman, Ben, and Charlene for always bringing the fun and entertainment!

Gee, I wonder when Blueberry is coming
Rowan wants to name the baby Blueberry! I'm not sure if it's because he likes blueberries so much or he's just being goofy. I don't have the heart to tell him that blueberry isn't even on our radar in terms of names. What's on our radar is the baby's arrival! I was at the Doctor's this morning and I'm holding still at 2cm dilated and 80% effaced. My fluid levels have been fluctuating for about a month now and she feels that although my measurements are ok, it is a sign that the placenta isn't as healthy as it should be. She also feels that the baby has dropped and that the arrival will be sooner rather than later! However, just in case, I'm scheduling an induction - just waiting to hear from the hospital to coordinate it!
This is exciting news for us as you can imagine! Will it be a boy or girl? What will the name be? Will Jason feel like he's looking into a mirror when he sees this baby too? We will soon find out and I will keep you posted......

Decorating the tree
Rowan put the first ornament on the tree this year. It was a sparkly train from Pier 1 (they have the BEST ornaments)!
As you can see, Jason and Rowan picked another winning tree this year. Bart was on hand to pitch in his 2 cents as well. Rowan passed out after all the decorating:)

Is that you Sebastian?
Yesterday afternoon when Jason took Barty out, there was a random black dog sitting in our fenced-in yard. Poor thing was shivering and so afraid. This little dog was wearing a cardboard tag that Jason was able to get a look at. However, it didn't provide any information not even his name.
As we called shelters and put out an email on our neighborhood listserve, Rowan declared "Maybe it's Bastian." Bastian being Sebastian who is Uncle Scott's dog. The dog was black, had white on his chest, and a bushy tail like Sebastian but he was much smaller than him. I said to Rowan, "Good observations about how he resembles Bastian, but Bastian lives in Pittsburgh and how would he get here?" To which Rowan replied "maybe he walked here." Of course...walking!
The little dog was finally warming up to Jason after he gave him a blanket, some treats, and water. Because he didn't have a name, Rowan started calling him 'Baby Bastian' which was really cute. After no one claimed baby Bastian, the animal shelter came and picked him up last night. They will keep him there until someone claims him or if he goes unclaimed, he'll go up for adoption. He seemed like a sweet dog and will have no trouble finding a good home....right in time for the holidays!

Thanksgiving 2010
With all of us a bit disappointed that we couldn't travel this year, we sure made the most of it here in Maryland. I think Jason was really excited to make his first Thanksgiving meal and it was delicious!! He really did a great job with the turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberries, corn, stuffing, and homemade pumpkin pie!
Most people think of Thanksgiving as a day to count your blessings. I do as well, but I also realize what I have everyday. Things that I'm most grateful for are Jason and Rowan. I couldn't have asked for a better husb

We have a busy weekend ahead of us as we get our Christmas tree today, shop, visit some friends, and I get to enjoy some spa treatments (yes!) courtesy of my hubby. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Feeling lik a pig...
Alot has happened since Friday when I was at the doctor's office and my measurements were not where they should be for this point in my pregnancy. The doctor initially thought that the baby was just tightly curled up, but a sonogram showed that I was losing amniotic fluid. The fluid levels should be over 10 and I was at 7 - 5 is considered dangerously low. She put me on bed rest for the weekend and told me to down the liquids.
I thought it'd be a long weekend, but I realized that I've very good at doing nothing! I watched lots of movies and TV and ate like a pig....thanks to Sara and Jason cooking up some great food. Jason helped so much with Rowan that he now wants his daddy when he wakes up in the morning.
I returned to the doctor's this morning and had another sonogram which showed that I doubled my fluid levels in a matter of 3 days!!! Clearly, I wasn't scaling back on my activity level when I should have been. In addition to the gains in fluid levels, I gained 4lbs on the scale! Hence, I'm feeling like a little pig today - all in a good way! I return next Monday for another sonogram just to make sure all is ok.
Speaking of a pig, Sara and I decided to count the money in Rowan's piggy bank yesterday. We couldn't believe what he had in there - $58 dollars in bills and $80.89 in change for a grand total of $138.89!! This kid is raking in some serious money considering the piggy bank isn't even as old as he is.
So this week is starting off really well for us. Now, if the steelers could just pull it together then I'd really be happy! At least Christmas music started today -yeah!!!

More Halloween and baby update
The top picture is Rowan showing his Halloween treats off to Gramma and Pap, middle one is Jason's creative pumpkin, and the last one is Barty which Rowan took. He loves taking pictures!
Today marks week 32 of this pregnancy. Things are going really well at this point. I was having severe sciatic back pain a few weeks ago but have since switched my workouts to the pool which has helped immensely. I aquajog and swim for about 40 minutes every other day and it feels so good that I don't want to get out! I was at the doctor last week and had a sonogram. All the measurements are right on track and they guesstimated the baby to be weigh about 4lbs! I was happy with my weight gain as well - up 18 lbs so far. We'll see how forgiving the scale will be this week after I've been dipping into Rowan's Halloween candy!
We are still working on boys names as I type this. We have a few in mind but nothing really exciting. We do have a great girl's name that we're almost hoping it's a girl just for that reason!
And so we are enjoying the 'calm before the storm'. We got the nursery pretty much together this weekend and Rowan seems to be very excited about his new sibling. Let's hope it stays that way!

Halloween 2010
What a great night we had! Rowan dressed as Lightning McQueen and I dressed as a burgh' babe - Steeler jersey and all. Rowan got so excited when he saw Maggie, Hayden, and Emerson (top picture) in there costumes and scurried to get his on as well. He has totally been crushing on Maggie lately! Jason and I so enjoyed watching him collect treats and the happiness it brought him. He lasted about 45 minutes before we returned home to help Gramma and Pap hand out candy. Thanks so much to them for sharing in Rowan's fun-filled day!

Halloween Party!
Rowan had his Halloween party today at school and was real hesitant to wear the lightning Mcqueen costume that Sara got for him....until he saw all his friends dressed up! He told me to "hurry up" and put his costume on! He was so excited to see his friend Ben dressed as Thomas and Ms. Rebecca dressed as a race track. The best costume (in my opinion) was Alyssa who looked so absolutely adorable as Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz! All the kids looked great and Ms. Rebecca had a scavenger hunt and a special snack for them too.
It sounded like a fun day at preschool!
